18 Gauge 2-Conductor, Twisted, Cotton - GOLD, GRAY MARKER THREAD

The brush gold color is soft, mustardy, and like all of the other twisted two conductor wires the cotton braid, it is not lacquered. It really shows off the individual fibers in the braid. This wire is great for lamps, old or new, as well as vintage appliances, electric fans, and small hanging sconces. We used this wire to great effect, suspending old porcelain sockets with bare reproduction - Edison lightbulbs. It's a simple but great way to add period authenticity to an old farmhouse kitchen or bungalow. UL rated, 600 volts, 105 degrees centigrade.
